Nausea and Vomiting During Pregnancy (NVP), often called morning sickness, affects about 70% of pregnant people and can be severe in some cases, known as hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). Recent research has identified the hormone GDF15 as a key factor contributing to NVP, as it triggers nausea through its effect on brain receptors.
