The latest Prehistoric Planet clip takes us to the topic of pterosaurs, which form the world’s first vertebrates to have taken flight to the skies. These reptiles—note, not dinosaurs—managed to do so with heads so ornate that it almost seems ridiculous. Did they really improve aerodynamics, or is there something else missing from the picture?
