Some essential oils, like peppermint oil, have proven benefits for managing IBS. Its menthol component relaxes smooth muscles in the GI tract and has antimicrobial properties. Similarly, tea tree oil is effective against acne due to its antibacterial and antifungal qualities, with fewer side effects than conventional treatments.
