Before Triceratops ever walked the Earth, dinosaurs already existed, whose features can only be best described as “living tanks.” These are the ankylosaurs, with armored bodies and even a bony club at the ends of some species’ tails. Did these animals seek the thrill of battle, or was there more to their distinct armored features?
