PBS Eons gives viewers a glimpse into the evolutionary mysteries surrounding the ancient Hațeg Island which existed during the Late Cretaceous Period and is now where the modern-day Romanian town of Hațeg sits. The dinosaurs excavated from the modern-day site are quite small compared to their mainland counterparts. However, the pterosaurs excavated from the same site tell an entirely different story—yet somehow still paint the same picture.
