Imagine being one of a hundred prisoners tasked to find their prisoner numbers in a shelf of 100 drawers, each containing a unique number between 1 and 100. You’re not allowed to talk to other prisoners, and you’re only allowed to open 50 drawers at most. Can you find your number?
