Myxozoans are tiny, multicellular parasites related to jellyfish, known for infecting a variety of hosts, including fish, worms, amphibians, and even land-dwelling animals like pygmy shrews. Despite their simple structure, they possess stinging structures similar to jellyfish and have evolved unique biological processes, such as endogenous budding.
