Archaeologists have long been puzzled by the ancient Egyptian references to Punt, a land famed for its wealth and exotic goods. Despite its frequent mentions in hieroglyphs, the exact location of Punt remains to be discovered, as ancient records did not specify its whereabouts. Recent research involving mummified baboons imported to Egypt from Punt has provided new insights into Punt’s possible location.
