Only 12 people have walked on the Moon, all within a span of 4 years, but no one has returned in the last 50 years until now. NASA is preparing to return astronauts to the Moon for long-term habitation and exploration, in preparation for future missions to Mars. However, the current spacesuits for the Moon haven’t been updated in decades, hindering extended missions—at least, until now.
